Reel Talk: "Punker" Pat Towersey
Pat Towersey has was given the unenviable task of upholding the childhood nickname “Punker Pat” into adulthood. I think he did pretty well to be honest, but eventually, we all lose a bit of our inner punk. But in Pat’s case, he made the transition nicely.
From his early days riding for Volcom and being a “latchkey” grom running around Newport Beach and causing all the trouble one could with a Volcom stone on your nose in 1995, to running one of the most exciting and interesting brands in the game (Western Hydrodynamic Research), Pat’s always been one of those renaissance guys, redefining and reinterpreting what you think about him on his terms. We’re fans, and since we got you, WHR just had a new drop that’s once again pushes the boundaries of how you define “surf brand” and we’re all for it.
