Watch: Jack Robinson's First Trip to Tavarua

I can’t believe I haven’t come here before.—Jack Robinson

Jack Robinson’s been in the spotlight since he was 10 years old. He’s traveled around the world more times than any surfer 5x his age. He’s literally mastered all the waves that we considers wonders of the world: Pipeline, Sunset, North Point, The Box, Teahupoo etc.

Well until now, there were a couple of the best reefs on the planet that Jack had not yet made his mark on. At 25 years old Jack finally made his maiden voyage to Fiji. Cloudbreak and Restaurants are waves that seem like they’re perfect fit for Jack’s surfing. I’m still in disbelief this was his first time out there.

Jack, Joao, Yago and a few others headed to Tavarua right after the WSL Final Five event wrapped up and scored amazing waves at Cloudbreak. With the addition of this location on the CT schedule there was no better time to go feel it out. Jack caught up with the crew at Red Bull to give his thoughts on his first trip to Tavi, surfing with Joao, Kai Lenny, Cloudbreak, Yago Dora, and more details. —Brandon Guilmette
