The Complete Bummer

The Complete Bummer

This new iteration of Inherent Bummerour Substack offering — has officially been around for (drumroll!) four months now! It’s easily the most fun I have at the keyboard all week and I’m still convinced it’s the future. This site you’re on is not going away, but the majority of our editorial writing is done on the Inherent Bummer Substack. Peruse the Archive below see what that’s all about, you might like it.

Now that we’re sailing along at a pretty healthy clip here, I wanted to do a little house cleaning: And make the case for upgrading to paid.

Each week we deliver something useful to you on Monday. Something inspiring on Wednesday. A conversation every Thursday. And of course our usual grand finale musing from me every Friday — the crescendo of the work week sent out before I stir up an ice cold Martini Friday night and strike out to find some waves of my own over the weekend.

I also wanted to remind all you lovely paid subscribers (and holdouts just the same) that the entire Inherent Bummer Substack Archive — which is already up to 75 original posts — is stacked up and waiting for you to get caught up whenever convenient. Below you’ll find some highlights of what you might have missed too.

These last few weeks of August are usually the hottest, most crowded and exhausting of summer. Why don’t ya take it easy? Upgrade to paid and spend some reading poolside before we kick into Fall, easily the most wonderful and inspired time of the year to be a surfer. We got a lot we’re working on for you.

Thank you all for reading and subscribing at whatever level you’re subscribed at, it’s pretty humbling that there are so many of you.

Here’s a quick link to the entire Archive.

And since you can’t search in there, I pulled out a few highlights below. Have a great rest of the week—Travis Ferré
