It’s not the end of the world.

The Bummer Rolls: July Camera Dump

The Bummer Rolls: July Camera Dump

July around Huntington Beach can be chaotic and overwhelming. Summer is cooking on all fronts: Independence Day, the Surf City 5K and Fourth of July Parade with its sea of bicycles and spectators filling the streets from Newport to Long Beach create an anthill of traffic, parking lot chaos and long lines to get in and out of the beach.

We attempted to break our way into the chaos with some of our favorite works by Georgia O’Keefe, Jasper Johns, and David Hockney, new playlists on Spotify, The Evolution of Style in episode 3 of Style Matters, more classic Friday Night Flicks, and one of my favorite ever, Andy Irons in Campaign. We even went on some podcasts to hype The Inherent Bummer Factory by the Sea that we were planning around the US Open. It was one of the busiest months in our history. Long days and nights, but we loved every minute of it.

Now I need a surf trip.—Brandon
